Operation of the Dome

When in use, all fittings should be regularly checked for tightness, the fan inlets should be clear of all obstruction/debris and the membrane should be examined for any excessive leaks. There is no risk of injury during deflation in calm conditions, even if the occupants remain inside while the structure collapses around them. It takes approximately one hour for the structure to deflate completely, if unaided. Any holes or slits should be taped immediately.

Occupants are only slightly at risk during deflations in very windy conditions, when the wind could generate sufficient flexing of the structure to cause injury. It is suggested the during very windy conditions, the occupancy is restricted to players only, in which case there would be plenty of time to vacate the structure in an untimely deflation. The area between the outside of the structure and the fence should also be restricted and kept clear of any obstacles.
